Raw Fed Dogs – Feeding the way mother nature intended
Welcome to Raw Fed Dogs. I’m Kevin and I feed my pack of five dogs a raw prey-model style diet. I started researching raw diets back around 2000-2001. At that time I had nine dogs and B**F style diets were the big thing. Those diets are overly-complicated with lots of stuff dogs don’t need. They advocate feeding exact amounts of this and that with more supplements than one can shake a stick at. The amount of prep time alone…
DogChannel.com – Raw Food Diet for Dogs
A decade ago, BARF was the acronym that raw-feeders used to describe feeding raw, meaty bones to their canine companions. Coined by Australian veterinarian Ian Billinghurst, it stood for “Bones and Raw Food,” which later morphed to the eggheady-sounding “Biologically Appropriate Raw Food.” But now, everyone pretty much just calls it “raw.” Labels aside, the raw pet food movement got a lot of attention this spring, when wide-scale pet food recalls…
Jane Anderson’s Raw Learning – Learn how easy it is to feed a raw diet
Millions of people around the world feed their pets a raw diet. This is not a fad. If your vet does not support your quest for a healthy pet via a raw diet, please find another vet! Let’s face it, pet food companies and vets do not want you to feed a raw diet, because it harshly affects their profits. Isn’t it time your pet’s health came before someone else’s profits?
WebMD – Raw Dog Food: Dietary Concerns, Benefits, and Risks
Raw dog food diets are controversial. But the popularity of the diets — which emphasize raw meat, bones, fruits, and vegetables — is rising. Racing greyhounds and sled dogs have long eaten raw food diets. Extending those feeding practices to the family pet is a more recent idea…

Why feed a species-appropriate raw diet?
It’s what our pet carnivores evolved to eat. No man-made diet can hope to compare to fresh natural whole food. The benefits of a whole natural diet include improvements in multiple areas. Most people report significant improvements in all areas after switching to a whole natural diet. One of the simplest but most profound improvements is…
Dr Goodpet – The Ideal Diet
Dogs and cats evolved eating a natural diet consisting mainly of fresh protein sources. That is a fact. Through marketing, the pet food companies have convinced us that the only way our pets can stay healthy is by feeding them the “balanced diet” that they themselves manufacture…
Out of the Earth – Natural Raw Diet for Dogs
The Natural Raw Diet is based on a canine’s nutritional requirements. A wolf in the wild would eat the stomach contents of his kill first, providing him with enzymes, grains and vegetables. He would then proceed to eat the meat as well as some of the bones, providing him with protein and calcium. What a natural, raw diet does is “feed” the immune system with FRESH, RAW, WHOLE foods. This provides the body with all the necessary ingredients for optimum performance.

I found your website perfect for my needs. It’s wonderful and helpful
Sometimes I feed my dog raw carrots and apples, but I don’t feel comfortable giving him raw meat. For us, balancing some raw fruits and veggies as occasional snacks with a good, solid grain-free natural dry dog food (we choose Natural Balance Alpha) really worked to improve his skin, coat and energy level.
